Client Partner – Senior Principal Telecommunications & Media

At Slalom, we work to help our clients succeed. We work with them to achieve their objectives and set their sights on the realm of the possible. The Client Partner is the nexus of this work. We are hiring a client partner to serve, nurture and grow our telecommunications and media client group. You’ll spend your days serving a group of clients – understanding their business drivers, environment & industry, developing high-trust relationships, developing & implementing strategies that marry Slalom capabilities and client needs, overseeing our delivery work, and set a high bar to create exceptional client and Slalomer experiences.

So, what will I do?

• Customer Obsession: One of the core pillars of Slalom’s strategy is Customer Obsession. Client Service leaders are responsible for ensuring our clients’ expectations are met and exceeded and our overall client satisfaction is high. Client Service leaders work with our practice leaders and partners to develop and deliver the right solutions to meet our clients’ needs.
• Delivery: Slalom believes that client facing roles should add value to our clients, and have a delivery and advisory component to them. Without that, we risk losing credibility – and trust. As such, those in client service have a utilization target of 60%+.
• Business Management: As a leader of a portfolio, client service leaders are a business builder responsible for ensuring the profitability and stability of the portfolio, managing risk, and ensuring the long-term viability of the business. A client service leader is responsible for an annual portfolio of $2.5M-5M+ that is typically industry aligned.
• Relentless Focus on Teams: Another of Slalom’s pillars is Relentless Focus on Teams. As an account leader, you’ll have the opportunity to shape and lead delivery teams at the client sites – aiding in the development of careers and shaping high performing individuals into high performing teams. You’ll have the responsibility to create exceptional employee experiences for your delivery teams.
• Ambassador of Values: As a leader in the market, the client leader is a constant ambassador of Slalom’s core values and ensures we exemplify our values in our delivery and interactions with clients, recruits, and the overall market.

And, what will I bring?

• 8+ years prior consulting experience is required
• Advanced project delivery including all aspects of business advisory or technical program/project management working alongside clients
• Deep expertise and experience working within the telecommunications industry
• Previous P&L responsibilities a plus
• Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully across all levels of the organization
• Excellent negotiation, conflict management, problem solving and decision-making skills, with an ability to navigate difficult client conversations.
• Proven track record of client/employee satisfaction

Hybrid/In office: We are hybrid but there are expectations that if your team leader requires you onsite that you are able to meet those expectations/requirements
