Sr. Telecommunications Engineer – W2 Only

Overview:

Transport Engineering Services. Work with design engineering and telecommunications equipment installation firm(s) and construction firm(s) and the project manager. Will act as representative and backhaul design engineer during vendor engineering site design visits, construction, and installation and commissioning.

Duties will include:

· Review, design, develop, modify, and evaluate systems, process, or facilities to support Company objectives, utilizing engineering methods to complete backhaul designs.

· Develop highly complex engineering studies, plans, specifications, calculations, evaluations, design documents, and performance assessments.

· Determine methods and techniques for obtaining results.

· Deliver on commitments and manage other outside engineering services to accomplish the assigned work.

· Ensure Firms are following the specifications and meet PacifiCorp’s system design and communications standards. Immediately report any deviations by the Firms to the company communications engineer.

· Provide weekly reports on progress to company communications engineer.

· Travel will be required for specific projects.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business Administration, Mathematics, Finance, Engineering, or a related field; or the equivalent combination of education and experience

· Experience with microwave system design work

· Proven ability to manage information and projects internally including multiple projects concurrently

· Experience developing engineering design and specification packages including drawings.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $85.00 – $100.00 per hour
