Who We Are Looking For

Welcome to one of the most exciting New Space companies in Europe with a great vision: 600 satellites for a global low-earth-orbit connectivity network. The satellites will be connected via satellite laser links to communicate directly in space. A constellation like this has never been set up before.

Our customers will benefit from ultra-low latencies, high speeds, unparalleled security, and true global coverage. The satellites will be launched between 2024 and 2028.

Now we are looking for the best talents for our locations in Munich and / or Berlin to make our vision come true.

Your mission

You will be in charge of following up on the development of the Rivada system with a focus on the fulfillment of the end-to-end performance requirements. You will interact with the others teams within Rivada and with the main industrial contractors regarding the performance budgets, building up confidence early in the project.

You will analyse the system-wide impact of identified deviations, report your assessment to management and elaborate with the Rivada teams, possibilities for mitigation/correction. During the IVV phase and the subsequent operations you will work closely with the IVV and operations teams to confirm the performance figure in real use.

This includes:

You will be responsible for all aspects related to the end-to-end performance of the system. For this you will interact with the team colleagues and the system management on the following:

• Identify the essential end-to-end performance requirements, verify their technical budgets and monitor their evolution during the development phase
• Liaise with the main contractors, like the Space Segment Prime Contractor and build up early confidence regarding the fulfillment of the end-to-end system performance
• In the case of deviations, changes, improvement or upgrades, you will assess their impact and report to the system management
• During the IVV Phase, you will act as a focal point for assessing the end-to-end performance of the system, and contribute to the readiness for operations
• During the operational exploitation phase, you will monitor and report on the system´s end-to-end performance. You will contribute to the definition of system upgrades and the introduction of new services offering improved performance

What you bring on the table?

• Successfully completed degree in Engineering or Computer Science
• 2+ years of experience in space system engineering, system performance budgets, performance simulations or performance studies, ideally in the context of a space or telecommunications programme
• General knowledge of ECSS, ISO9001, Requirements Management, Space segment industrial development cycles, would be an advantage
• Excellent written and spoken German and English
• Excellent interpersonal skills
