Job Summary and Qualifications

Seeking an experienced PBX Operator to join our dynamic team of telecommunications professionals. In this role, you will assist our hospital team by promptly answering all incoming calls and assisting in placing outgoing calls. We are looking for an enthusiastic team member to assist in ensuring hospital communications runs smoothly and efficiently. If that is you, come be a part of what makes us great and apply today!

• You will respond to code phone or code wall panel alarms, which takes priority over all calls except the fire alarm, making sure to notify appropriate personnel.
• You will monitor fire panel alarms and phones, contacting the fire department and appropriate personnel as needed.
• You will page authorized personnel, physicians, and emergency calls on Telepage.
• You will assist patients by advising how to place local and long distance calls.

• You will place and process long distance and Watts Line calls for various departments and doctors’ offices.

What qualifications you will need:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Two years of switchboard experience required, 5 years preferred.

• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
