GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Under the direction of the EBRP Communications District Manager, performs highly responsible administrative work in assisting the District Manager in the planning, development, and operations of the Public Safety Telecommunications Division. Work involves responsibility for the planning, development, and coordination of the 700/800 MHz Trunked Radio System, the
City-Parish Radio Shop, and 9-1-1 phone system. Direct supervision is exercised over the Telecommunications Radio System
Coordinator, Senior Communications Technician, and Communications Technician positions. Performs other work as requested.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma, GED, HiSET, or equivalent certificate of competency, and five years of experience in emergency communications, including two years of supervisory experience.
SUBSTITUTIONS
Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
