Telecoms Fibre Engineer Job Detail

This is a permanent position which offers stability and an opportunity to enhance your Engineering skills with extensive training.

Whilst experience in the Telecoms Sector would give you an upper hand on understanding the job, we’ll provide you with the training you need to get started. You’ll be a focused Team player and will bring new ideas to the table. You will install, test, and commission residential and business fibre broadband services together with associated wiring systems, WiFi routers and terminals. This includes working both indoors and outdoors. You’ll be able to work at heights and hold a current driving licence.

How do you get started?

  • You’ll be given the support required to help with your relocation. (Please note, you’ll need to be a UK Citizen or requrie the right to work in the UK)
  • You’ll receive a £2000 payment which will support you in the initial stages of your relocation.
  • You’ll be provided with paid accommodation whilst in the process of acquiring your local licence.
  • Training will be given to broaden your knowledge on installation, along with Health and Safety procedures
  • You’ll work on the job with an experienced Engineer for 2 weeks before being assigned to projects

What experience can you bring to the table?

  • Previous experience in an engineering role such as Gas, Electrical, Communications Installations or IT support
  • Fundamental understanding of IT to connect customer products to the network
  • Experience working as a Copper or Fibre Installation Engineer
  • NRSWA unit 2, Openreach PIA certs SA001-SA002 these qualifications are desirable however not essential as training can be provided for the right individual
