Construction Manager – Telecommunications

CONSTRUCTION MANAGER

T Com is an Underground and Aerial Telecommunication Construction Company. We specialize in building and maintaining fiber networks. Qualifications: 5-7 years of fiber experience required, installing via underground and aerial. Familiarity with construction methods and related codes. Data entry. Track the progress and quality of work being performed by design disciplines/trades. Effectively and accurately communicate relevant project information to the client and project team. Ensure client needs are met in a timely and cost-effective manner. Complete project map markups and redlining. Track & manage contemplated change notices and change orders in the database.

The Construction Manager will perform the day-to-day functions associated with project implementation in both the pre-construction and post-construction environments. Track the progress and quality of work being performed by design disciplines/trades. This role is responsible for maintaining status reports documenting project schedules and project costs.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for local contract administration and compliance with bonding, insurance, and generalized procedures.
• Project coordination with all levels of management.
• Track, report, and communicate on all Outside Plant (OSP) project progress.
• Assist with cost actuals versus budget. Build quality, reporting accuracy, and project tracker accuracy.
• Ensures client’s needs are met in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Complete project map markups and redlining.
• Maintain a tracking log for all capital, expense, and emergency restoration purchase requisitions.
• Manage incoming and outgoing materials inventory.
• Assist in general contractor coordination.
• Develop and maintain a contact list for business contracts, including permit agencies and ILEC.
• Coordinate all conduit leases and paperwork associated with existing and future leases.
• Responsible for coordinating all permits associated with the city, state, and county agencies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required
• Must have experience installing fiber underground and aerial.
• Experience in the telecom industry REQUIRED.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and Adobe Premiere.
• High Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.
• Extreme attention to detail with a keen eye on accuracy.
• Excellent communicator; willing to write to, speak to, and communicate with all levels of the organization.
• Ability to take data and turn it into reports.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write reports and correspondence.

Pay: $75,000.00 per year
