We are working with the UK’s a leading provider of high voltage electrical solutions

Set up 20 years ago by a team of skilled engineers, they have grown into a leading provider for customers’ electrical needs throughout the country offering services from Consultation work through to Network design, installation and maintenance to Fault location and Energy Saving solutions.

We need an HV Commissioning Engineer, and the role will entail:

• Compiling tender documentation and putting together quotation packages for clients
• Discussing ongoing and new project with customers, either face to face or via phone/email etc
• Ensuring site electrical Systems and work thereon complies with appropriate UK, EU and Corporate legislation. Continuously monitoring all legislation updates to ensure continuing compliance
• Technical support to area management teams on electrical power issues
• Sub-contractor management/budge responsibility for HV distribution
• Responsibility for assessing the competency of site personnel undertaking LV/HV electrical work
• Responsibility for operation and maintenance of the site electricity supply network, site radio systems and site telecoms network infrastructure
• Maintaining the site electrical engineering manuals and procedures; controlling their distribution
• Commissioning new works

Qualifications & Experience:

• Proven experience with Industrial work (hospitals, prisons, sub-stations etc) or similar environment
• Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering (HND considered) would be an advantage
• Authorised Electrical Engineer (33kv) ATSE/AE Electrical
• Authorised Electrical signatory for plant change, minor project works and safety certificates
• Able to work as part of a team
• Experience of installing and terminating large power cables
• Experience of installing containment
• Understanding of schematic diagrams / control wiring
• 18th Edition qualified
• JIB qualified / CSCS Card holder
• HV Inspection/maintenance
• Clean UK driving license

Preferred but not Essential

• 2391 Inspection and Testing
• IPAF/ PASMA
• SSSTS
• Appreciation of High Voltage installation
• Experience in power generation installation
