Sertex LLC is looking for qualified, experienced candidates for Splicers to fill the Telecom Technician positions. Description:

The Telecom Technician is primarily responsible for cable/enclosure prepping, fusion splicing, verification testing, troubleshooting, and fiber optic cable repair. The Telecom Technician will be required to review, create, and maintain splicing schematics and diagrams. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate splicing and field notes along with supporting project timelines, in addition to performing end-to-end OTDR testing, analyzing test results for acceptable loss readings, and providing close-out packages complete with pictures, formal loss results, and redlined schematic documentation. Other duties and responsibilities may be required and/or assigned on a project basis. The candidate will usually work independently and is responsible for their own day-to-day operations, production, quality control, and maintenance of assigned company equipment. The Telecom Technician is responsible for maintaining their safety by regarding company procedures, electrical safety, fall protection, confined space safety, and road work safety setups.

Requirements:

• 1 -3 years of fiber optic telecommunications experience required
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Teams, basic computer skills, excellent verbal, and written communication skills
• Work at heights and in confined spaces, be able to see and identify color
• Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record and DOT Medical card required
• High School Diploma or equivalency, Fiber Optic Certification Training preferred, but not required
• Must be able to travel in the New England Region and stay overnights throughout the week as needed.
