Ohio’s largest University Healthcare System seeking a Cisco Engineer!

The UC Engineer ensures efforts are in alignment with the IT Business Technology Solutions to support customer-focused objectives and the IT Vision, a collaborative partner delivering innovative ideas, solutions, and services to simplify people’s lives.

As a UC Engineer you ensure maximum availability and functionality for IP Telephony operations. You are responsible for evaluating and implementing VoIP hardware and software as well as developing and implementing a call center technology strategy. Ensuring maximum availability of our communications facilities is your main responsibility.

While achieving availability and performance objectives by providing analysis, design, support, and implementing projects you are sure to be consistent with the company’s policy and procedures.

Job Responsibilities:

· Provide superior customer service utilizing a high-touch, customer centric approach focused on collaboration and communication.

· Contribute to a positive team atmosphere.

· Innovate and create value for the customer.

· IP Telephony (Voice over IP) environment to ensure maximum availability and functionality for IP Telephony operations.

· Administrator for Cisco Video Conference environment to ensure maximum availability including endpoints.

· Administrator of Cisco products: Call Manager, Unity, Presence, PCCE

· Main UC Engineer taking care of all tickets for support issues

· Collaborate with colleagues to support company and departmental goals and objectives

· Requires being onsite for support (Monday – Friday)

Essential Background Requirements:

Education: College diploma or 2-year associates degree in the field of Computer Science/Engineering or Information Systems.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in administration, management, and maintenance of Cisco Telecom Infrastructure
  • In-depth, hands-on experience with the following systems:

Cisco Expressway, Cisco Unified Border Element

Cisco IOS Gateways with Media Gateway Control Protocol (MGCP) and Session Initiation Protocol (SIP)

Cisco Jabber, Cisco Mobile & Remote Access, Packaged Contact Center Enterprise (PCCE) including Cisco Finesse

Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) and Cisco Unity Connections Voicemail

Microsoft Teams

  • Knowledge of networking and PC operating systems
  • Knowledge and experience in VMware Vsphere.
  • Hands-on experience with scripting languages and automation.

15 Week Contract

Onsite

$45-55/hr

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $45.00 – $55.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

  • Columbus, OH 43219: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

  • LAN: 3 years (Preferred)
