Your future role on our team

Our Terrace Office is growing and is seeking a Mechanical Engineer in Training to support our continued growth and achievement of our strategic objectives as consultants in the natural resource and renewable energy industries. Terrace offers a multitude of advantages such as a short commute, great work-life balance, endless year-round recreational opportunities for the adventurous, and you will be residing close to the ocean within the Kitimat Range of the Coast Mountains. Although Terrace is one of the smallest BBA offices, it offers great opportunities to work closely with colleagues from other offices, be exposed to project and business management and most of all, be exposed to multidisciplinary projects, from hydroelectric to mining and work hands-on to support our clients to overcome challenges and achieve their goals.

Terrace is a regional hub with the largest regional population base in the North-West part of the province and is the service, educational, medical, and transportation hub of the region. It can be easily accessed by road, ferry or by flight from major international carriers

Work collaboratively with clients, project managers, engineers, designers and drafters in the preparation of deliverables to BBA and client standards

Prepare and present engineering deliverables such as reports, studies, estimates, budgets, schedules, drawings, calculations, specifications, quotations, and proposals

Provide assistance to more experienced personnel for the technical aspects of complex tasks

Participate in site inspections, condition assessments, and testing

Receive mentorship and coaching from intermediate and senior engineers, actively growing knowledge, and supporting the enhancement of skills within the team

Collaborate with other EITs

Overview of certifications and job requirements

University degree in Mechanical Engineering

High academic performance (top 20% of graduating class)

0-4 years of relevant experience (salary will be adjusted to match experience and potential)

Available for site work and short to medium term assignments

Be a registered as an EIT with EGBC within three months of hiring

Valid driver’s license within six months of hiring
