Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design of a wireless access network virtualized solution for our Open RAN deployment, and provide technical leadership on the development of cloud-native solutions running on containers
- Collaborate with internal cloud operation teams on architecting, designing, configuring, testing, and deploying cloud-native RAN platform
- Support the evolvement on the cloud platform to meet ODU real-time processing performance
- Contribute to O-RAN Alliance Working Group 6 on RAN Cloud-native solution, leading the track for O-Cloud specification update.
- Manage the configuration and provisioning of clusters and other managed cloud resources
- Maintain strong partnerships with key stakeholders during the design and development of cloud-native applications within the organization.
- Provide technical expertise on cloud technologies and design choices, that best meet the requirements of the application and the business.
- Initiate research and development of new cloud technologies to improve speed to market, reduce costs, and improve reliability and performance
- Assist in responding to RFI, RFP’s, Technical assessments, etc.
Critical Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in the telecom industry or virtualization development domain
- Experience in managing and developing cloud-native containerized microservices
- Proven work experience as a Cloud Architect or similar role
- Excellent knowledge of cloud computing technologies and experience dealing with hyperscalers
- Relevant training and/or certifications as a Cloud Architect
- Strategic and critical thinker with the ability to adapt to an environment that is highly dynamic and competitive
- Ability to synthesize complex technical concepts into meaningful communications and recommendations
- Excellent English, written and verbal skills, and strong interpersonal skills
