Telecommunications Engineer #EV1177

EvolutionHR is working with a premier client in Roanoke, VA within the healthcare industry. We are seeking an experienced Telecommunications Engineer to join a client’s Network Operations/Telecom Engineering team. This is a DIRECT HIRE.

Work schedule is in office Monday through Friday, 8-hour workday. Possible maintenance/on-call work after normal business hours. This role will work on site in a Data Center environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide guidance, analysis and engineering expertise for server environment and cloud based environment
• Implementation and Maintenance of enterprise multi-platform server based systems AND all Cisco UCCX (but not limited to)
• Provide troubleshooting and resolutions for any and all technical issues that may arise
• Work in a collaborative team environment and within peer teams

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of professional engineering experience
• Strong Experience maintaining and supporting Avaya VoIP Products
• Must have prior experience within telecommunications engineering (Cisco, Avaya, MS Teams).
• Must have 1 technical engineering certification (EX: CompTIA Server+, MCSA, CompTIA Linux+, OR VCP)
• Must have excellent communication, with ability to communicate technical/engineering jargon to non-technical individuals
• Must have thorough knowledge and experience working with Active Directory, VMWare, MS Exchange (Windows and/or Linux environment).
