Multiple Positions/Underfill: This job posting may be used to fill multiple positions and may be filled as a developmental underfill at the Information Technology Specialist 3 (ITS3) classification level. See the “Minimum Qualifications” section for details. The pay range for an ITS3 is $5,926-$9,659.

We are hiring an Enterprise Network Administrator (Information Technology Specialist 4) to join the Enterprise Technology Services Division (ETSD) in the Office of the State Court Administrator(OSCA) at the Oregon Judicial Department (OJD). Highlights of an Enterprise Network Administrator…
You will be part of the ETSD Telecommunications Team with two main functions: analyzing requirements and recommending appropriate hardware/software solutions and designing or engineering overall architecture for OJD’s network infrastructure. By using advanced knowledge in network / security concepts, your goal will be to optimize workflow and efficiency and to establish secure customer network communications.
You will participate in network troubleshooting to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within the enterprise LAN / WAN / Internet communication network. You will also participate in operations and project planning to identify existent and prospective resource needs and strategies to satisfy those needs. In your role, you will be a telecommunications resource project team member, providing input, technical resource for the project, and maintaining project communications. In doing your work, you will coordinate activities with project managers and other managers to maximize network resources.
Network implementation, configuration, upgrades, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting, system disaster recovery and tuning will be part of your duties. Lastly, you will provide work coverage and other duties as assigned.
Assigned tasks may be changed to accommodate workload and organizational needs.
Requested Skills and Attributes

- Current CCNA certification.
- Fundamental knowledge of VoIP/Telephony technology.
- Proficient knowledge of current networking concepts.
- Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Experience in network engineering, network operations, and network performance analysis skills.
- Experience with Arista switching
- Experience with network scripting and automation tools such as Python and Ansible.
- Experience with hands-on technical troubleshooting.
- Experience working with Cisco routers, switches and firewalls.
- Experience with Cisco Unified Communications Manager.
- Experience with Palo Alto firewall devices and f5 Networks load balancers.
- Experience applying project management principles, methods, and standards when planning, scheduling, and carrying out assignments and projects.
- Strong interpersonal skills to assist non-technical individuals with complex technical issues.
- Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.

Information Technology Specialist 4 Minimum Qualifications
(These must be evident in your work history and resume for full consideration.)
Must have three (3) years of responsible, technical experience that supports the knowledge, skills and abilities requirements listed for the position, such as advanced knowledge in enterprise configuration and troubleshooting of, firewalls, networking, routing and operational network administration. Enterprise being defined as 500 or more users and managing at least 3 sites.
AND
Must possess a bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, management, business or public administration, or a closely related field.
OR
Any combination of education and experienceequal to six (6) years of experience that support the knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position, such as advanced knowledge in enterprise configuration and troubleshooting of, firewalls, networking, routing and operational network administration. Enterprise being defined as 500 or more users and managing at least 3 sites.
Information Technology Specialist 3 Minimum Qualifications
(These must be evident in your work history and resume for full consideration.)
The qualified applicant must have two (2) years of responsible, technical experience that typically supports the knowledge, skills and abilities requirements listed for the position, such as enterprise networking.
AND
Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in management, business or public administration, computer science, IT, or a closely related field.
OR
Any combination of education and experience equalto five (5) years of experience that support the knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position.
Note: An advanced degree in information technology, computer science, or a closely related field could substitute for some of the required work experience.
Special Qualifications

You must have a current driver’s license and an acceptable driving record or be able to provide an acceptable alternate means of transportation.
Working Conditions
- This is a full-time position. The work schedule currently is 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. It is FLSA exempt and not eligible for overtime compensation for hours worked in excess of 40 per work week.
- Occasional travel to court locations throughout the state (with overnight stays).
- Often involves in-person, email, video, and phone contact with confused or frustrated people.
- Frequent required after-hours, early morning, evening, night, and weekend work.
- Frequent phone and in-person contact with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Uses equipment which may include telephone with an optional headset, desktop equipment, mobile devices, hand truck, ladders, etc.
- Setting up or lifting and moving audio/video components, configuration of court technology, recording software, and various other types of audio/video and conferencing equipment weighing up to 50 pounds may be required.
- Requires on-site availability as needed equipment configuration, maintenance, replacement, or network outages.
- Work is located onsite in Salem. Remote work may be available for this position. All remote work assignments begin, end, or change only with administrative authority approval.
