We are a Veteran and family-owned business, offering qualified Veterans, and Civilians with relevant experience and background, the opportunity to start a career as a Cell Tower Technician.

This opportunity will give you all the training and experience necessary to become certified as a Cell Tower Technician. You will work as a full-time employee, making on average, $55,000-$70,000/year. Starting pay is $20/hour regular pay, and $30/hour for OT. For any overnight stays, you will be given $40/day per diem, along with paid hotel. The time spent driving to and from job sites is paid, and a company vehicle is provided. You must have your own reliable transportation to meet the crew at the office each day.

Job Description:

Tower climbers work at heights up to 350+ feet to perform installation, regular inspections/tests, and maintenance of antennas or other transmitter systems. The climbing component is only one aspect of the job. A professional tower climber will also become skilled in communications technology, cable splicing, and more.

Overview:

  • You will be taught all of the skills necessary to work on a Cell Tower Repair crew, tools and equipment will be provided
  • Industry specific safety training provided on site
  • Consistent, full time, year-round work

Job Requirements:

  • Must be able to travel up to five days a week. Occasional weekend work, as required, based on project needs. Per Diem and hotel will be provided for any overnight travel, as well as transportation to job sites.
  • Must be physically fit to climb 350+ feet utilizing all of the proper fall protection, and lift up to 60lbs
  • OSHA 10 construction certification prior to start date is required (will provide training to you, if you don’t already have this certification)
  • Adhere to all company and industry standard/regulations (OSHA, COMTRAIN, etc.)

Qualifications:

  • We are looking for applicants who can tell us about any experience, professionally or personally, where they have worked at heights and/or been in a situation where they had to get out of their comfort zone and excelled.
  • 1-year general construction experience preferred
  • Ability to climb to extreme heights, using proper fall protection equipment
  • Ability to take direction, and learn on the job
  • Must have personal motivation, self-drive, be a team player, have a high work ethic, and good communication skills.
  • Dependability and punctuality is a MUST as your crew depends on you to show up each day.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation to meet crew at office, and a clean driving record to operate a company vehicle.
  • Past examples of candidates that have been successful in this role include military veterans, National guardsmen, linemen, firefighters, rock climbing enthusiasts, sky diving enthusiasts, snowboarding enthusiasts, experience with deer stands, roofing, wind turbine technicians, solar installation technicians, tree climbers, electricians, iron workers, and experience working on grain silos, to name a few
