Some Travel will be required along with flexibility in hours- Must be based out of Charlotte, NC or relatively close TEKsystems top Logistics Client is in need of an experience Telecom engineer to join their team immiediately for a sharp deadline project of migrating from one hosted VOIP to another. This client is in the very beggining stages of moving from a Hosted Voip solution that will be end of Life and must be moved to new solution by end of July. This client has a partner that is providing Project management, analysis and documentation of moving from their old platform to their platform but our client needs an experienced engineer to assist in verifying/validating, coordinating and ensuring the migration is done correctly. There are 155 sites with anywhere from 1 phone system to 600 phone systems ad over 4500 users that will be impacted. Their goal will be to move WebEx as a soft client and use their new platform as their hard phone system. Travel will be needed on a flexible basis at some of the major sites. This will sit on a team of 4 and work will be divided up between likely teams of 2. Client needs this resource to be flexible with their time and very reliable. The best candidate for this role will have 2-4 years experience with a hosted Voip Solution, Have done a migration in the past and have the ability work be flexible with hours and travel. What you’ll do on a typical day: • Configure and deploy VOIP phones on hosted service • Experience working with Hosted VoiP providers • Develop call routing plans with business partners and coordinate implementation • Serves as a technical engineer in Call Center call flow design and support. • Provides hands on service and solutions for call center moves, adds and changes. • Travel to client offices to maintain existing or setup new Telecom infrastructure • Assist in the evaluation of existing call flows • Provide end user training on system • Assist in migrations from one hosted VoiP provider to another • Coordinates large deployments of phones and DID design. • Document and update telecom topology and configuration • Provide support to end user community as required • Work directly with Telecom vendors to escalate and resolve issues What you need to succeed at Client: At a minimum, you’ll need: • 2-4 years’ experience supporting telecom • Customer Service – able to personally provide high level of interactive service to targeted customer base/market, building relationships and acting as internal company advocate. • Team Orientation & Interpersonal – highly motivated, passionate and creative team-player with ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with all levels within and external to the organization. • Communication – able to effectively and persuasively express self verbally and in writing, using correct language and grammar in a professional, diplomatic and tactful manner. It’d be great if you also have: • Organization & Time Management – able to work independently with minimal supervision, planning, scheduling and organizing professional schedule to complete actions within established deadlines, handling multiple priorities with strong attention to detail. • Project Management – able to prepare a plan that achieves stated objectives, establish and meet project deadlines, modify plan to reflect changing priorities and successfully complete project. • Adaptability to Change – able to be flexible and supportive, react swiftly to and able to positively and proactively assimilate change in rapid growth environment. • Systems & Software – proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software applications. • Experienced in telecom and call center concepts building and designing, call queues and hunt groups. • Experience in network and telecom problem tracking and resolution • Can prioritize to ensure the highest levels of support to our business community • Experienced using Visio, Excel and Word to document project success and presentations
