Conklin Metal Industries is a distributor of all types of sheet metal, HVAC, and duct fabrication supplies. Our founding dates to 1874 and is now in its fourth generation as a family owned and operated business. We service the entire southeastern U.S. out of fifteen (15) warehouses. Our customers include sheet metal contractors, mechanical contractors, duct fabricators, residential/multi-family new construction contractors, and HVAC contractors who specialize in service and replacements. We are a one stop shop for every component used in the construction and installation of a commercial or residential HVAC Duct system. This includes the sheet metal for the rectangular or spiral/round duct, plus all the materials to connect, fasten, insulate, attenuate sound, control vibration, reinforce, direct air flow, provide access, and ultimately hang and seal. We also stock the widest array of sheet metal forming machinery in the southeast.

Skills and Experience Needed:

• Must be able to communicate with the executive team in a way to convey project needs for the information systems.
• Knowledge of communication and network design
• Knowledge of computer networks, hardware, and software applications
• Knowledge of computer applications development and implementation
• Knowledge of Azure, Tableau, Crystal Reports, Phocas, Rubber Tree, SQL
• Knowledge of LAN and WAN
• Knowledge of virtual cloud servers
• Knowledge of security infrastructure
• Experience in Cyber Security of benefit.
• Experience with ERP systems (we use Prophet 21)
• Experience in eCommerce a plus
• Experience with SIP/PBX a plus
• Experience managing budget for cloud-deployed assets
• Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information technology or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ year experience in IT process management, application development, change management, data/cyber security and business continuity.
• A background in wholesale distribution is required.

Duties Overview

• Provide direction, guidance, and training to IT staff.
• Develop, manage, and track the IT department’s annual budget.
• Oversee security of systems, networks, and enterprise information.
• Work with vendors and purchasing to ensure fair pricing.
• Coordinate and supervise the use of outside consultants, their scope of work and evaluate their effectiveness on the operations.
• Some travel to other work locations throughout the Southeast periodically required.
• Regularly communicate overall infrastructure status and improvement proposals with leadership team.
• Develop and implement business continuity protocols to minimize disruption to business operations in the event of emergency situations or data loss to ensure integrity of information, security of databases, and internal network access control.
• Establish efficiency and efficacy standards, providing recommendations for improvement of IT infrastructure, including but not limited to: PC’s, laptops, servers, printers, networks, and telecommunication needs within the company.
• Assess IT operating costs, productivity levels, upgrade requirements, and other metrics and needs.
• Perform system administrator duties for Network and Server infrastructure, Active Directory, workstations, patching, software deployment, and other system environments.
• Manage and configure components installed on the Windows servers.
• Review and develop automatic deployment rules for Microsoft Security patches monthly or as required to comply with company security standards for all devices.
• Review and improve antivirus/antimalware policies.
• Create documentation, user guides and provide training related to IT activities.
• Analyze computer logs to identify issues and recommend plans to implement solutions.
• Oversee IT security audits and investigations.
• Develop and maintain relationships with external IT vendors and service providers.
• Maintain and support mobile device fleet through use of mobile device management system.
• Perform daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media
• Ensure maintenance for network servers such as domain controllers, file servers, and other application servers.
• Maintain general company-wide IT policies and procedures, password security, and training for safe computing.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 – $105,000.00 per year
