Airosmith Engineering is currently seeking a Tower Technician position to join our growing team. This position involves climbing telecommunications structures and collecting engineering data for audit and mapping reports. Services supported may include all or none of the following: structural mappings, inspections, site walks, measurements, data collection, and photographing on a variety of structure types and for multiple scopes of work. This position involves travel to multiple sites per day either individually or with an additional Field Technician dependent on project demands. Strong time management, organization skills, and self‐motivation are highly important qualities for this role.

Responsibilities, include but are not limited to:

  • Climbing towers and/or similar structures in excess of 300 feet noting member geometry, sizes, and condition.
  • Walking building rooftops noting structure geometry, sizes, and condition.
  • Site Walks, Audits, TIA Inspections, Tower Mappings, Mount Mappings, Rooftop Mappings, or other inspections at telecommunication sites.
  • Prepare clear and concise notes and sketches for daily submittal with accompanying photos and safety documentation.
  • Act as company representative to client and landlords.
  • Maintain a safe and professional environment while onsite representing Airosmith Engineering.
  • Assist with coordinating access and equipment rentals as needed.

Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Minimum of 1‐year telecommunication inspection and/or mapping experience preferred.
  • Must be willing and capable of climbing towers in excess of 300 feet following necessary training and certifications.
  • Ability to travel overnight and out of state regularly. Required travel is up to 90‐100% and typical 4‐5 days per week.
  • Readiness to work in all varieties of weather conditions.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be computer proficient, having demonstrated intermediate knowledge and ability to work with MS Word and Excel.
  • Good planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work.
  • Demonstrate willingness to learn with the ability to analyze and solve problems in a team atmosphere.

Education, Certificates and Licenses, training to obtain required referenced certifications will be provided:

  • Certified Tower Climber/Safety and Tower Rescue.
  • OSHA 10Hr Safety Course.
  • Adult First Aid / CPR.
  • RF Safety Training.
  • Manlift Operation Certification.
