Fiber Construction Technician (Telecom)

We are looking to add to our team for someone to assist in the construction, installation, and maintenance of communications cables (fiber optic) and related telecommunications equipment in our communities. We are looking for someone with the ability to:

· Use hand tools, power tools, and specialty tools, including telecommunications measuring devices.

· Drive and operate vehicles and heavy equipment such as mini excavators, boring equipment, skid loader, cable plow, etc.

· Communicate and work effectively with customers and other co-workers with clarity and tact.

· Asist in Fiber optic splicing.

· Verify all utilities before construction begins.

· And most importantly, follow all safety rules and regulations.

Valid Class A CDL driver’s license or ability to obtain within six months of hire important.
