Position: Systems/Network Engineer

CFS is partnering with one of the region’s largest not-for-profit health and wellness providers to add an Systems/Network Engineer to their team! The IT Infrastructure Engineer will focus on the support and implementation of the server, telecommunications, and network infrastructure. This hands-on role will be responsible for project deployments, information services support, and evaluating the information technology needs throughout all departments within the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for technical and analytical work pertaining to the planning, development, acquisition, testing, integration, installation, utilization, or modification of network and telecommunications systems, facilities, and services.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of existing voice and data communications, analyzing/testing a variety of established methods to evaluate alternatives and arrive at decisions, conclusions, and recommendations.
  • Research trends and analyze a variety of telecommunications problems, questions, or conditions.
  • Perform help desk functions as required by incident reports or service trouble-call requests.
  • Assist Leadership with the preparation of RFP’s and quotes for contracting of Telecom services. Work closely with leadership to develop network and paging diagrams for new buildings.
  • Serve as technical expert and customer service representative for all telecommunications issues.
  • Develop reports and updates to submit to IS Leadership.
  • Design, create, and distribute operational troubleshooting guides related to software and hardware.
  • Work closely with Networking Specialist to facilitate projects, project goals, and meet project timelines.

Required Skills:

  • Experience with Windows enterprise environments.
  • Experience with MS Office Suite, Remote Administration Suites, Anti-Virus programs, and terminal emulation software required.
  • Able to work flexible hours & travel to various locations.
  • Current Florida Driver’s License is required.

Bonus Skills & Experience:

  • Experience with Linux environments is preferred.
  • Experience with Wireshark, SolarWinds, or other network monitoring software.
  • Experience with Extreme, Brocade, Ubiquity, MikroTik preferred.
  • Experience with Mitel, Mitel Contact Center, and Shoregear switches.
  • Experience with Wireless Access Points systems (Meraki or Ruckus) preferred.
  • Certifications including MTCNA, MTCRE, CCNA or CCNP is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
