We are currently looking for a Splicer to join our subcontracting team. The Splicer will be tasked with installing and terminating telecommunications cables and fiber optic lines. Our ideal candidate will be committed to providing top-level customer service and will be able to work quickly and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Splice fiber optic strands to connect with existing cables.
• Use special tools to measure and align the cables.
• Assemble the cable and splice so that it fits the fibers.
• Splice together different types of cables.
• Turn off and turn on the laser beam.
• Carry splicing kits from place to place.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 – $40.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift

Supplemental pay types:

• Bonus pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Boring, OR: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Computer networking (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver’s License (Preferred)

Willingness to travel:

• 50% (Preferred)
