Description: The ITSS-Systems Telecomm/Voice Administrator 1 responds to user complaints and researches problems associated with the organization’s telecommunications networks (voice and/or data). The Telecomm/Voice Administrator 1 work assignments are often straightforward and of moderate complexity.
The Telecomm/Voice Administrator 1 diagnoses problem source through discussions with users; co-ordinates with internal support and operations groups or with vendors to resolve problems. Requires an understanding of technical aspects of telecommunications equipment and systems and vendor capabilities. Also responsible for processing move/add/change requests pertaining to telephone systems. Understands own work area professional concepts/standards, regulations, strategies and operating standards. Makes decisions regarding own work approach/priorities, and follows direction. Work is managed and often guided by precedent and/or documented procedures/regulations/professional standards with some interpretation.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field OR equivalent experience in lieu of degree Less than 3 years of telecommunications technical experience Knowledge and understanding of technical aspects of telecom equipment and systems and vendor capabilities Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience as a Telecom/Voice administrator Experience with Cisco Jabber or Zoom Phone Additional Information
