Infrastructure Installation Technician
Responsibilities:
- Primarily: Installing low voltage cable (Cat 5e, 6, & 6A, speaker wire, multi-conductor, access control wire, coax, etc.) in indoor and outdoor locations for commercial and industrial customers.
- Primarily: Installing fiber optic cable in indoor and outdoor locations for commercial and industrial customers.
- Primarily: Termination, testing, troubleshooting of all cabling listed above.
- Primarily: Installing cable pathway hardware such as conduit, innerduct, wire tray, and cable hanging hardware.
- When needed: Installing, servicing, and supporting analog and IP based camera (surveillance) systems.
- When needed: Installing, servicing, and supporting cellular signal boosting systems.
- When needed: Installing, servicing, and supporting sound masking systems.
- When needed: Installing, servicing, and supporting broadcast paging systems (70v and 24v DC systems).
- When needed: Installing new and cleaning up existing data room/closet racks, cabinets, and preconfigured network hardware.
- When needed: Installation of audio/video hardware such large display screens, TVs, and other audio/video hardware
- When needed: Installing other types of preconfigured technology hardware
- When needed: Basic installation, service and support on telephone line and telephone system (key system/PBX) hardware, under the support of Telecom’s support team.
- When needed: Basic installation of IT Networking and VoIP hardware, under the support of Telecom’s support team.
- Communicate with customers, contractors, and vendors representing TeleCom Business Solutions, Inc. with respect and integrity
- Submitting daily work reports and time entries including updates and details about the work performed and the status of projects
- Leave each job site clean and organized at the end of each day and the completion of each project
- Perform work in a neat and meticulous manner

Skills:
- Experience or familiarity with Structured Cabling and related technologies listed above
- Must have a good attitude
- Ability to consistently arrive at job sites on time
- Ability to work well with coworkers and customers
- Able to lift over 50 pounds
- Physically fit enough to carry materials and hardware, climb ladders, and work on your feet for long hours at any given time
- Capable of bending, lifting, crouching, and leaning over for long periods of time
- Ability to work from heights, such as ladders, man-lifts, scissor lifts, and roof tops (utilizing proper fall protection)
- Ability to work varying shifts/hours in coordination with project requirements
- Ability to work in various locations within the south-central PA area
- Willingness to do what it takes to get the job done
- Addition experience with video surveillance, access control, wi-fi, and telephone systems is a plus
- Must have a valid PA driver’s license

Pay: $16.00 – $28.00 per hour
