Job Description
The Installer 1 position is a general laborer and helper. They take direction from the project manager or assigned project lead. They must have construction knowledge and have worked in that field. Must be familiar with hand tools and power tools. They complete, report and sign off on tasks to help assist in the completion of the installation.

● Salary Range: $15 to start and up to $18/hour once fully qualified.
Duties: An Installer 1 helps with installation of telecommunication rooms, cable pathways (j-hooks, cable tray, sleeves, etc.), category rated cable, fiber optic cable, specialty systems cable, terminations, testing and equipment mounting. Additionally, Installer 1 employees should keep job sites clean, neat and tidy. The project manager may direct an installer to complete other tasks (organizing materials, sweeping floors, stacking boxes, moving scrap cable, washing vehicles, etc.) to help keep all operations running smoothly.
Installer 1 employees must be physically fit to climb ladders, crouch, bend and stand during an entire work shift.
All Installer 1 employees start at $15/hour. Upon completion of the following items, the wage increases to $18/hour.
● 600 hours (typically 4 months) on the job.
● Punctual, hardworking and dependable.
● Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
● Has all required tools as outlined in the company handbook.
● Obtains an Idaho and/or Wyoming trainee/apprentice card.
As an employee gains more experience and becomes a dependable asset to the project manager, they may receive additional wage increases or promotions above the installer position upon completion of the following:
● Continues their study of the BICSI / ITSIMM through the online courses.
● Seeks out additional industry information outside of work, reading trade magazines, manufacturer catalogs or websites.
● Can easily distinguish colors in low lit areas.
● Completes a 90 Day review with the Account or Project Manager and Operations Manager.

Pay: $15.00 – $18.00 per hour
