As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for organizing and executing civils, refurb, and OSP activities to complete the job as defined by the client’s scope of work and/or construction drawings. On assigned sites, you will serve as a local point of contact with project managers, field crews, and subcontractors. You will be responsible for site safety and the quality of the final product. This is a strategic position at BDC Group, as you are on the front line, playing an integral role in BDC Group’s strategic direction, development, and future growth.

Requirements
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Some travel.
- Minimum of 3yrs.

Essential Job Functions and Qualifications
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of project strategy and commitments including financial goals, scheduling, logistics, and inspections.
- While working in a collaborative effort with team members, provide direction and leadership and actively train team members to complete the job following the scope of work/construction drawings.
- Report schedule progress as needed to the project and sales team as required by the client.
- Take photos before, during, and after final work is completed and provide all closeout documentation to BDC Project Manager.
- Actively participate in all company-wide training and development initiatives, and also work with and mentor Field Service Teams.
The position will be located in our Iowa market based out of Hiawatha, IA. Some travel will be required and driving company-owned vehicles will be required; a good driving record and valid driver’s license is essential. Our team is assembled from a group of individuals with an extensive background in the telecommunications industry. We manage and construct telecom/fiber projects across the US with our experienced project/construction management team members. Our shelter/project sales team actively meets customer needs and expectations with our precast concrete shelter sales and refurbishment of surplus concrete shelters. Our team of refurb technicians and master electricians complete the refurb and custom modifications to meet our client’s expectations.
