What You’ll Do
WHAT WE NEED
BCG is looking to fill several mid-senior roles within our Technology sector to help our clients take on their most difficult challenges and create innovative strategies for growth. The ideal candidate will be inquisitive, curious, and confident, with a penchant for going above and beyond immediate project requirements to find deep insights others have missed. A genuine passion for problem-solving, combined with leadership and communication skills will be critical to success.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
BCG’s Technology sector is the largest topic area of our Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT) practice. Our Technology sector services clients up and down the stack, from semiconductor firms (and suppliers) to hardware to software and SaaS, to IT services and consumer tech. Working with startups and large incumbents alike, Technology consultants help companies take advantage of emerging trends in real-time and thrive. Our clients’ landscapes have seen more change in the last 10 years than it has in the previous 30 combined. That’s where you come in.
Consultants within our Technology sector will work with BCG’s top tech clients to transform their industries, define winning business models, shape their value proposition and go-to-market approach, enhance their operational competitiveness, and create sustained advantage.
What You’ll Bring (Experience & Qualifications)
- 3-5+ years of post-graduate school experience in consulting or at a tech industry player, with 1+ years at a team lead level.
- Passion for the technology industry and willingness to commit to a career in our practice area.
- Demonstrated expertise with a range of tech topics (e.g., cyber, engineering, product management) through sustained client work. We are not looking for specialists in a narrow field, but broad experience that informs a strategic view of future growth opportunities.
- Track record of collaboration with senior executives. Must be comfortable delivering formal presentations to management in Tech clients.
- Strong management and communication skills. The ability to bring together all stakeholders and persuade senior clients to take action is essential.
- Strong analytical skills and a high capacity for conceptual thinking. Ability to develop leading edge business models, frameworks for analysis, and long-term business strategies that maximize shareholder value. Must be able to thrive in a hypothesis-based environment where inductive rather than deductive reasoning is the norm.
- Proven ability to manage client engagements, client relationships, and provide “thought leadership” to teams, owning the responsibility for the quality of engagements.
- A combination of management and “hands on” delivery experience is critical.
- A solid track record of building strong client relationships with large organizations, as well as identifying opportunities to deepen those relationships and grow the business.
- Technical degree is nice to have but not required
