Duties and Responsibilities

The individual contractor will work with the DVU, under the overall supervision of the Head of the DVU.

• Conceptualize and produce new film-clips about the Pooled funds (CERF and CBPFs) for donors and their audiences
• Produce a series of tailored versions to individual donors
• This work will entail: Story, scenario and style development, Visual script development, Production, filming, animation, post-production and editing.
• Delivery of ready-to-air material in broad-cast quality.
• Support post-production of a series of short films based on existing footage and templates, including by assisting in video-editing, sound mixing and consistency in visual identity across all products
• Take on other special projects as assigned.
• Work as required at own facilities using own equipment.

Qualifications/special skills

High School level
Minimum of 3 years of professional digital campaigning and video and audio editing experience is required.
Skilled in motion graphics design, animation and video production and editing is required.
Willingness to work in a multi-cultural environment in a cooperative and professional manner, including observance of OCHA product clearance is procedures is required.
Track record of successful materials filmed in the region and on humanitarian financing is desirable.
Advanced creative skills coupled with the ability and artistic vision to weave a meaningful and compelling story is desirable.

Languages

Excellent command of written and spoken English is required.
