Telecom Design Engineer

The Telecom Planning Corporation is looking for a Full and Part-time OSP Engineer to facilitate projects and activities for our clients. The typical work schedule is Monday thru Friday in our Bohemia, NY office, or remotely.

Positive functions:

• Design/Engineer, aerial, buried and underground Copper, Coax & Fiber Optic Routes
• Prepare site and construction drawings for various Telecommunication Facilities in a cost-effective manner
• Coordinate with internal & client departments
• Communications with both, residential and business end-users, building contractors, and property owners
• Manage work flow and time, so clients’ schedules are met
• Communicate with management & clients to provide work status and updates
• Perform field engineering, gathering of OSP Design data needed to complete OSP Design

Experience:

• Experience with Window-based programs& Database Systems
• Experience with AutoCAD, Visio, & MS Office, i.e.: Excel/Word
• Working knowledge of the Telecommunications Industry Standards & Practices
• Ability to read and interpret, technical & professional, documents
• Knowledge of Easement, Right of Way and Permit Documents, a plus
• Must have a valid Driver’s License
• Must be able to pass a Drug-Screen and background check

Pay: $50,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
