Description
The Commercial Relationship Manager -Technology and Telecom role Supports Managing Directors’ marketing efforts by conducting client research, preparing marketing materials, creating term sheets, and assisting with loan closing and ongoing relationship management. In addition, the Relationship Manager will prospect and develop commercial banking relationships targeting companies operating in the technology and telecom sectors. Please note: This position is a junior to mid career level role and is open to 100% remote work.
Job Description
- Supports Managing Directors’ marketing efforts by conducting client research, preparing marketing materials, creating term sheets, and assisting with loan closing and ongoing relationship management.
- Serves as the point person in determining the customer’s needs and meeting them through the seamless delivery of the bank’s products, services and associated resources
- Develops and maintains profitable customer relationships within a targeted market segment by coordinating all sales and service efforts
- Knowledge of all bank products and continual development of product expertise
- Responsible for ensuring the optimizing of all customer relationships which entails developing revenue growth through generation and cross selling of all applicable bank products including deposits, loans, and other services in all Huntington segments to customers
- Possess proficiency in credit fundamentals and is be able to determine the appropriate risks on new and prospective customers and transactions so that all relationships are entirely in strategic alignment with the risk profile of the bank, including all front-end guidance
- Adheres to bank policies and procedures and complies with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Accountable for risk management, compliance and audit performance for area(s) of responsibility whether a supervisor, manager or individual contributor
- Establishes or works with management to develop effective controls and processes to ensure risks are measured, monitored and controlled and compliance requirements are adhered to on an on-going basis
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 3 – 5 years of Banking Experience
- Credit Training and/or experience, required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced sales and communication skills, required
- Experience lending in the Technology and Telecom sector is preferred
- In depth knowledge of all bank products and continual development of product expertise, required Other traits, characteristics and experience
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management
- Proven problem-solving skills to handle complex issues
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management
