The primary responsibility of the Installation Supervisor is to oversee all aspects of assigned installations and direct management of assigned Installation Professionals (IPs) while working in alignment with other Installation Supervisors, Office Managers, and Regional Supervisors to ensure productivity. Additional responsibilities include ensuring that assigned IPs are meeting and/or exceeding installation performance metrics and expectations with a core focus on productivity. Perform responsibilities in a manner that aligns with the company culture, mission, vision, values, virtues, policies, and procedures, while meeting company safety and installation quality standards and delivering an exceptional customer experience and company profitability. Someone in this role must exhibit leadership and problem-solving skills as well as have the ability to work with customers and staff on a regular basis.
Job Duties:
Drives performance success and provides leadership in terms of exceeding profitability goals, increasing competitiveness in the marketplace, and providing top-notch customer service.
- Conducts interviews for direct reports and determines which applicants are qualified.
- Provides daily leadership, management, coaching, and mentoring of assigned IPs.
- Manages schedules, time off requests and adjusts and approves time cards for all direct reports.
- Handles any disciplinary or accountability actions with proper documentation for all direct reports.
- Assists Office Manager, as needed, to document and process any damage claims, accidents, injuries, or incidents related to direct reports.
- Ensures top level installation metrics and production.
- Conducts annual reviews, performance evaluations, and coaching sessions for direct reports.
- Maintains a keen understanding of training trends, developments, and best practices.
- Ensures process and procedure accountability for direct reports.Ensures that direct reports meet all specifications and requirements in regards to their specific job duties.
- Addresses customer survey responses.
- Conducts and performs regular audits, as required, including both field and photo audits.
- Seeks out and implements new technologies which assist in the identification of workplace hazards, tracks recommendations, and monitors overall effectiveness.
- Assists management team with ensuring that current training methods are in compliance with OSHA and other State and Federal operational and safety regulations.
- Provides additional support and real-time training for direct reports.
- Provides effective and regular communication to management. Provide detailed reports upon request.
- Works with office management to ensure efficiencies, staffing, and overall office development.
- Conducts and leads weekly IP meetings that are focused on communication, additional training, and safety topics.
- Promotes and facilitates healthy IP interactions.
- Acts as an ambassador for the company to promote and elevate the perception of the brand within the company and in the community.
- Continually develops customer relationships and positive customer interactions.

- Knowledge or ability to read and interpret training and educational materials.
- Possess a high level of professionalism, accountability, and confidentiality.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented and organized with the ability to work efficiently to meet deadlines.

Education:
This job requires at least a high school diploma or GED equivalent in addition to 1+ years of experience with installations and maintenance repairs in the fiber or telecommunications industry. Preferred applicants have experience in specialized technical courses or equivalent work experience. Prior management experience is a plus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly be exposed to outside weather conditions, small spaces and various heights. They may occasionally be exposed to the risk of electric shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and the specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus. The employee is frequently required to handle a variety of parts ranging in sizes and weights, in addition to pushing, pulling and carrying supplies. Supplies will be moved bilaterally or unilaterally and carried above or below the waist. Employees will regularly stand, sit, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, squat, balance, climb ladders and stairs, and reach with hands and arms. Someone in this position must be comfortable working in small spaces and/or various heights. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally be required to lift and/or move bulky objects, such as a ladder weighing 65 pounds, for short distances. They must be able to load, unload, carry and set up a 24-28 foot ladder in a safe manner. The employee must be able to safely operate a motor vehicle and safely climb ladders. Employee, including any tools and/or equipment that is carried, must be able to remain within the weight requirements of a 300 pound ladder.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:
Valid driver’s license is required (subject to verification) with a driving record that meets the company’s minimum safety standard.
