Infrastructure Project Manager

Responsibilities for the Infrastructure Project Manager:

• Create, manage and execute project plans to support ongoing infrastructure needs
• Project examples: low voltage deployments, ITS infrastructure deployments for new buildings, dept moves, telecom system installations, IT equipment deployments, and security card reader/camera projects
• Communicates clearly to team members, and project stakeholders.
• Monitors costs and project schedule along with compiling status reports for senior management.
• Bids project to contractors, awards projects, obtains purchase orders,, initiates project designs, manages budgets and secures materials
• Coordinates resources within Metro ITS, establishes deadlines, and assigns responsibilities.

Qualifications for the Infrastructure Project Manager:

• 4 + years of project management or relevant experience
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail.
• Any combination of project management or experience relevant to IT infrastructure for new buildings.
• IT project management for construction projects and remodel projects.
• Demonstration and understanding of the design and implementation of structured cabling solutions including fiber optic and copper backbone cabling.
• Coordination of IT components for large departmental moves.
• Experience in MS Project or SmartSheet, Visio (or Bluebeam), MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $40.00 – $50.00 per hour
