Job Description
The IT Project Specialist of Hospitality Systems will have experience working in the hospitality field with project management and IT implementation experience. Hospitality Systems Project Specialist will coordinate client site product installations and coordinate activities during product and system installation processes. Project management experience will also be very valuable for this role as the scope is not limited to just defining solutions, but also seeing them rolled out.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with client IT teams, corporate staff and vendors to resolve problems in technology systems including hospitality applications, networks, and telecommunications.
- Manage third-party vendor relationships to maintain and resolve problems for hotel/conference center systems: Property Management System, Point of Sale, telephony, catering tools, AV systems and other associated technologies. Ensure best of class product and support are received.
- Own the lifecycle of the property’s Hospitality Systems and their integrations. This will include the install, break/fix, upgrade, maintenance, and training of the property systems.
- Supervise resources to ensure projects are on track as scheduled. Keep stakeholders informed of progress, including evaluating and making recommendations regarding technology/asset life cycles. Verifies that hotel/conference center is properly equipped. Verifies compliance to technology-related vendor contracts.
- Strong written and oral communication skills; good presentation skills with ability to think outside the box to generate solutions; ability to interpret data and see trends.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related discipline
- 2+ years of experience in information technology in a formal Information Technology role
- Candidate must have proven ability to resolve issues, mitigate roadblocks, and meets all financial and management goals on time consistently and collaboratively
- Knowledge of Hospitality Systems – including but not limited to Point-of-Sale systems, Property Management systems and relevant integrations
- Knowledgeable in information security best practices
- Process-oriented with project management skills
Preferred:
- Project Management Certification
- 3+ years of experience in hospitality operations
- Experience with Opera PMS, Micros Simphony, Clover Flex, Visionline, Cisco Unified Call Manager, or Zebra/Toshiba Badge Printer highly preferred
- Experience with PCI Security Standards
