Project Overview:

The PLF works with DFAT and DEWR to support the administration of the PALM scheme and facilitate opportunities for Australian employers to connect with workers from the Pacific and Timor-Leste. The PLF is managed by Palladium and has been established as a trusted intermediary in supporting Australia-Pacific circular labour mobility.

Role Overview:

The IRD Business Analyst will provide support to IRD Product Manager in the rollout, development, and management of the In-Country Recruitment Database (IRD). The role will include requirements gathering and feature definition, documentation, facilitating Scrum processes and some functional testing. The IRD began development in 2018 as a platform to assist participating countries in managing their labour mobility related data including recruitment re quests, mobilisation tracking, reporting and other tools to assist business processes. With the doubled volume of Labour Mobility in Australia in 2022, the IRD is a key platform that allows for in-country processes to scale with the growing program. The platform is now live in six countries with additional rollouts planned in 2023.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Support the IRD team as Scrum Master, including:

Facilitating Scrum Ceremonies.

Coordinating with other teams on cross-team functionality.

Release Coordination.
Identify and implement process improvement where possible to improve delivery.

Support the rollout of the IRD to new countries, including:

Assisting with data migration processes

Requirements Documentation
Assist with customised training / helpguide documentation as required

Support the operation of the IRD in existing countries, including:

Execution and facilitation of special projects where required
Identification of possible new features, including requirements gathering and writing User Stories
Feature coordination and communication with countries
Assisting the Quality Assurance Coordinator with Functional Testing where required.

Required Qualifications:

A relevant degree/qualification;
Demonstrated relevant work experience (in business and data analysis, project coordination, product management);
Experience in working in an Agile/Scrum based team to deliver production-ready software;
Excellent organisational and project management skills: ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and different activities at the same time, meet deadlines;
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate with diverse and non-technical stakeholders and write a variety of written work (tender documents, reports etc);

Applications close on 9 April 2023 and will be assessed on a rolling basis. The successful candidate will be offered an initial contract to 31 December 2023 with possibility of further extension.

This is a Brisbane based role with options for flexible working. Candidates who are willing to relocate for the position must do so at their own expense.
