We are currently recruiting an Information Management Coordinator, to join our AIM (Accountability, Impact & Measurement) department.
This is a remote/hybrid position and will consider applicants who are homebased in the US, UK, and other RI country of operations.
Contract Type: Open Ended, Full time.

About the opportunity
The Information Management Coordinator is responsible for the maintenance and progress of RI’s data management practices and platforms.
You will have a key role in supporting global, regional, and country staff on advancing key Information Management policies and practices. Collaborate with country MEAL staff to ensure high-quality data is being collected, inputted, and visualized.
The Information Management coordinator will ensure that RI’s MEAL information management systems:
1. meet the needs of key stakeholders;
2. are set-in place in a timely manner; and
3. collected data is valid, reliable; and used in the form of reports and visuals that inform data-driven decision making.
Key Responsibilities
We use a third-party programme called “LogAlto”, to store countries project frameworks, indicators and results. You will become a subject-matter expert on it, and assist regional MEAL staff in training.
- RI is committed to being a “data-conscious” organization. As such, RI utilizes a third-party program called LogAlto for countries to store their project frameworks, indicators, and results. This position will become a subject-matter expert on LogAlto, and assist regional MEAL staff in training country staff on its usage and uptake. They will also be an administrator of the system and monitor usage by staff.
- Guided by Senior AIM Director, this role will collect required programmatic indicators from countries on a routine basis. These indicators are used by Senior Leadership to track progress across the organization. The indicators are uploaded into LogAlto, and then visualized using PowerBI. This includes quality assurance checks and training of country and project staff on data integrity issues.
- Building and monitoring capacity of countries on issues related to data integrity and data protection. This includes keeping informed and advising RI staff on emerging trends regarding data protection and data management.
- Work with RI’s Standardization and Optimization Manager to advance key data management initiatives.
- Train and support non-MEAL staff on data processing and data analysis functions as well as provides short-term technical assistance, as needed, for interpretation and analysis of country/program-specific data collection exercises.
- As needed, provide in-country training and support related to project and programmatic data management processes.
About you
You will bring the following:
- Track record of achievement in a previous, similar role working on Management Information Systems (MIS); developing relational databases is essential.
- Relevant academic background with B.S. or B.A. technical degree relating to MIS and/or database management, software development, research, social science, statistics or equivalent experience
- Strong understanding on MIS/GIS and mapping for humanitarian/development work desired.
- Good command of MIS/GIS software, and Database software such as Access or SQL.
- Good command of PowerBI, and related platforms that shared common APIs is essential.
- Advanced skills in PowerPoint, Word and Excel required including experience with pivot tables, database design, and dashboard visualization.
- Proven ability to work productively with a variety of stakeholders to run participatory processes and meet tight deadlines with an emphasis on quality.
- Excellent visual design sense regarding clear and accurate presentation of data.
- Fluency in spoken and written English.
