The Grow Group is recruiting individuals (ages 18 and older) to participate in a 6-week, Latinos in Communication Technology training program.
Our program is sponsored for eligible participants by UNIDOSUS and Charter Communications (Spectrum). If eligible, participation includes enrollment in 6* weeks of interactive classes* (one day per week) focused on customer service skills, a better understanding of communication technology such as Mobile, Web and Internet. Job placement will focus on positions within Spectrum Charter, providing technical support to customers throughout Tampa Bay!
Classes will be held Wednesday evenings from 6:00 pm -8:00 pm with possible makeup classes on Saturdays from 10:00 am -12:00 pm.
Upon acceptance of the program, students will receive a scholarship that provides them access to their own personal job coach, job training, resume building, and interview rehearsal.
Note: There is no hourly compensation for participating in this program; however, the program aims to help participants find job opportunities and obtain gainful employment with Spectrum Charter.
Program Eligibility Requirements:
– 18+ years old
– Eligible to work in the U.S.
-English fluency
-Computer and Tech Savvy
– High School Diploma or GED
– No prior felony convictions
– Commitment to 6 weeks of training and job placement services

Successful applicants will be trained for a future in telecommunication, in roles such as a Mobile Customer Service Representative or Internet Voice Representative.
Mobile Customer Service Representative
As a mobile representative, you can make a real difference to customers and the company, providing over-the-phone support on a wide range of mobile products and services, including accounts and billing, diagnostics, enhancements and repairs. You will have advanced diagnostic tools to help you address technical inquiries and get services running smoothly, talking customers through fixes you can make together. If an issue calls for extra attention, bring in additional internal support to get things back on track. Understanding the products and your customers’ sense of urgency will help you create a satisfying customer experience.
Internet Voice Representative
As an Internet Voice Representative, you make a real difference to customers and the company, providing over-the-phone internet and phone support and repair services to keep people connected. You will have advanced diagnostic tools to help you address technical inquiries and get services running smoothly, talking customers through fixes you can make together. If an issue calls for extra attention, bring in additional internal support and field technicians to get things back on track.
