Telecom Installer

Specific Job Duties:

What are the top 5 (or more) critical functions of this role?

1. Level 3 or above installer

2. Smart Hands: Able to Troubleshoot telecom equipment with support over the phone.

3. Good verbal and written communication skills.

4. Has a good understanding of Microsoft Excel, word and outlook email.

5. Capable of using optical power meter, Fiber scope and fiber cleaning materials.

6. Must use Meta workplace apps on phone and PC.

Unique Attributes:

What are the specific traits or requirements that would make a candidate the best fit for this role?

1. Can put an RJ45 connector on Cat6 cable.

2. Knowledge of EFI Telecom equipment, i.e., Juniper 3400 routers, Ciena 6500 DWDM devices, ZPE Consoles, fiber cable, Cat 6, tools, and test equipment

3. Can take instructions from customers and apply in the field.

4. Team Player, but will work mainly alone as the hands and eyes in the field.

5. Must be able to use Meta workplace apps on a smart phone and PC.

– What are the daily / weekly expected work hours and expectations on employee’s availability?

o 40 hrs + per week, 9am-6pm, Hours may vary, hourly position.

– What are the specific travel expectations / requirements?

o Within 1 hour drive from following locations:

§ 21721 Filigree Court, Ashburn, VA

§ 1764A Old Meadow Ln, McLean, VA 22102

– Pay

o Up to $35 cost based on experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour
