Telecommunications Analyst

Actual title: Telecom/Billing Analyst

Location: Mason, OH (must be local and able to work on site)

GENERAL FUNCTION:

• The Telecom/Billing Analyst will be responsible for developing and analyzing Telecom bills to ensure accurate billing.
• The Analyst must have the ability take multiple sources of data and compare the data to find cost overages, savings opportunities etc.
• In addition, the Analyst will manage Telecom vendor’s end-to-end to ensure disputes, changes, etc. are handled completely.
• The Analyst must be able to present finding and action plans to Leadership.
• Good written and oral communications skills required.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide first application level phone/email support to customers
• Analyze problems, answer questions and provide training about the software
• Make basic customizations based on customer needs
• Identify, test, and identify workarounds for bugs
• Provide regular updates to customers on open support issues
• Research issues dealing with 3rd party technology
• Assist in editing of training materials and manuals
• Evaluation of Java Code
• Script Development and utilities

REQUIRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

• Java Based Web Applications -SAP understanding
• Experience in System Development
• Oracle database
• Perl/CGI DESIRED Excellent Knowledge of MS Access and Excel.
• Understanding of Telecommunications a plus.
• The Business Analyst will be responsible for supporting analytics for bandwidth upgrades and other technical improvement projects for retail stores.
• For bandwidth upgrades, the analyst will ensure billing ceases upon disconnection dates, runs weekly reports on billing status, and continues to seek opportunities to upgrade/save money on an ongoing basis.
• Reporting for other technical projects will also be required.
• The Analyst must have the ability to build and use an Access DB to support data around project initiatives as well as be proficient in Excel for analyzing billing data, running reports, etc.

• Work Hours: 8-5 pm (normal business hours)
• Start Date: Immediate
• Duration: Extensions until end of 2023 for right candidate

Specific Skills Needed:

• Excellent Excel Knowledge.
• Experience with Telecom billing and vendor management.

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $35.00 – $42.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
