From our beginning in 1964, Lift-All Company has grown to be the biggest and most well-known manufacturer of slings for overhead lifting and load securement products in North America. Our products are sold through industrial distributors and contractor supply houses in the US and abroad. We operate with five plant location in Lancaster PA, Chicago IL, Houston TX, Atlanta GA & Las Vegas NV.

We are currently seeking an addition of a Network Technician to join our IT staff. The Network Technician’s role is to ensure the stable operation of the in-house computer and telecommunications network. This includes assisting with installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network systems and communication links. This person will also analyze and resolve end user connectivity issues in a timely and accurate fashion and provide end user training where required. This position reports to the Manager of Information Technology and works in concert with the Applications Administrator.

This position is located at our corporate office in Landisville, PA (close to Lancaster, PA) with the requirement to work in the office three days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday). We are working remotely on Mondays and Fridays.

Skills and Requirements include:

  • College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science and/or 3 years of equivalent work experience.
  • Working technical knowledge of network, PC, and platform operating systems, including Windows Server, Microsoft 365 Office/Exchange/Azure AD, Microsoft SQL Server, Windows 10 Professional, and Cisco switching, routing, and firewalls.
  • Strong technical knowledge of current systems software, protocols, and standards including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, Active Directory.
  • Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN topology and administration.
  • Experience with replicated disaster recovery architectures.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365.
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint.
  • Experience with Virtualization services such as VMWare ESXi, vSphere, and Horizon.
  • Understanding of VOIP telephony services and contact center systems.
  • Ability to travel domestically – 5 to 10% of time.

Job Title: Network Technician

Reports To: Manager of Information Technology

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

SUMMARY: The Network Technician’s role is to ensure the stable operation of the in-house computer and telecommunications network. This includes assisting with installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network systems and communication links. This person will also analyze and resolve end user connectivity issues in a timely and accurate fashion and provide end user training where required. This position reports to the Manager of Information Technology and works in concert with the Applications Administrator.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Monitor, maintain, and deploy network servers, including messaging, print, file, telecommunications servers and their associated operating systems and software. (VMware ESXi, VMware Horizon, Windows Server, Microsoft SQL Server)

2. Monitor and maintain network services, including DHCP, DNS and Active Directory.

3. Monitor and maintain security solutions, including firewall, anti-virus, and intrusion detection systems.

4. Monitor and maintain all network hardware and equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, and UPS’s.

5. Administer network user accounts, permissions, e-mail, and access rights.

6. Troubleshoot and resolve all hardware and software problems that may degrade network performance.

7. Analyze system usage and assist in planning for growth or increases in network capacity.

8. Monitor, optimize and allocate SAN storage for network systems. Maintain storage backups and replication.

9. Assess need for any system reconfigurations (minor or significant) and execute them as directed.

10. Ensure connectivity of all network devices.

11. Perform installation, configuration, administration, troubleshooting, and repair of end user workstations, laptops, and peripheral devices.

12. Participate in review, recommendation, installation, and configuration of telecommunications hardware.

13. Assist with the monitoring, troubleshooting, and repairing of telecommunications hardware to ensure optimal performance.

14. Assist in the implementation and administration of redundant systems, policies, and procedures for disaster recovery and data archiving to ensure effective protection and integrity of network assets.

15. Review and implement vendor supplied patches/upgrades.

16. Monitor and enforce policies, procedures, and technologies to ensure network system security.

17. Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information.

18. Provide statistics and reports based on network performance and security audits.

19. Perform system backups and recovery procedures.

20. Maintain high level of proficiency in corporate hardware and software platforms.

21. Serve as primary point of contact for end-user network connectivity and hardware error help requests.

22. Perform troubleshooting and escalation of network connectivity and hardware errors to fully resolve end-user help requests.

23. Interact with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to ensure products and services are delivered according to work scope.

Position Requirements:

  • College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science and/or 3 years of equivalent work experience.

  • Strong technical knowledge of current systems software, protocols, and standards, including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, Active Directory.
  • Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN topology and administration.
  • Experience with replicated disaster recovery architectures.
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint implementations and training programs.
  • Experience with Virtualization services such as VMWare vSphere and Horizon.
  • Understanding of VOIP telephony services and contact center systems.
  • Working knowledge of Storage Area Network (SAN) and related technologies.
  • Working knowledge of Cisco-based network communications technology.
  • Hands-on software and hardware troubleshooting experience.
  • Experience with data management.
  • Good understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
  • Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills.
  • Adept at reading, writing, and interpreting technical documentation and procedure manuals.

Work Conditions

  • Sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, hand tools, and to handle other computer components.
  • Occasional inspection of cables in floors and ceilings.
  • Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals, not to exceed 30 lbs. without assistance.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
