Senior Network Engineer with Secret

Tripoint Solutions is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join our team in Atlanta, GA.

You will design and provision networks and enforce QA and security best practices for our customer. The Senior Network Engineer works as an independent contributor with general supervision, and influences and assists team members with complex network challenges.

The successful candidate will be accountable to:

• Developing specifications, architecture designs, and integration plans for data and telecommunications networks and systems
• Provides support in the translation of business requirements into telecommunications (e.g., LAN, MAN, WAN, Voice and Video) requirements, designs and orders
• Performing research and requirements analysis to ensure proposed solutions meet the customer’s needs
• Providing technical leadership as a subject matter expert level in VoIP/Unified Communications (UC) environments, display systems, and data networks
• Proactive monitoring and troubleshooting functions to include trouble ticket management, service order entry, maintenance and configuration changes
• Implementing OS and antivirus products, as well as network and security services and analysis tools
• Develop production environments (virtual and hardware)
• Providing technical expertise for test plan designs and system evaluations; develops appropriate corrective action.
• Performs all work in accordance with established standards and supports efforts to obtain ATO
• Technical oversight of work performed by junior engineers
• Leading evaluations of current or emerging technologies

Experience, Education & Training:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical area
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience
• Network certification
• Level 1 DoD 8570 security certification (preferred) (e.g. CCNA-Security, CND, Sec+)
• Cisco Certified Network Professionals (CCNP) ENARSI
• 2 years of experience providing technical oversight of work performed by junior engineers
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Experience with DoD compliance and obtaining customer ATO

Clearance Requirements:

• Active Secret or above
