Job Description:

The Drafter I Network Records is responsible for the development of telecommunication designs and drawing deliverables in a team environment. They are also responsible for maintaining, adding, and auditing data within the company’s systems of record. This involves working as an individual as well as collaboratively with network construction managers, engineers, and municipalities.

Essential Job Functions

  • Utilize resources and references to accurately create, modify, and review deliverables in accordance with specifications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners and design team/engineers to solve design issues that may arise
  • Interpret both proposed designs and redlines into standard construction deliverables
  • Perform assigned tasks within expected timeframes and proactively communicate risks as applicable
  • Support other projects as assigned

Education/Certifications

  • High School Diploma or GED- required
  • AutoCAD certificate
  • Or 2 year technical degree and equivalent professional experience

Experience/Minimum Requirements

  • Must be proficient in AutoCAD.
  • 1+ years working in Engineering/Design Department.
  • Demonstrates propensity toward technical aptitude; through education, past experience, or in direction of desired growth.

  • Disciplined self-starter.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Data management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical and customer service skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn specialized system tools.
  • Ability to comprehend survey and construction drawings.
  • Knowledge of wireless communications a plus.
