Aerial Foreman – Telecommunications Construction

For 77 years Holtger Bros., Inc., has been happy to add workers to our team who we can help to grow and advance within the company. HBI proudly works year-round installing fiber optic cable–so no seasonal layoffs here! Currently, Holtger Bros., Inc. is seeking a skilled aerial foreman to lead fiber projects.

Responsibilities

• Outside plant construction (all aspects) new build, maintenance, lash and overlash, fiber, coax, fiber optic cable, and pole transfers
• Supervising the work crew consisting of 1-2 members
• Planning the most efficient and effective work order in order to perform tasks on a daily and weekly basis.
• Identifying, communicating, and troubleshooting problems on the job site and is responsible for the quality or work as well as creating and ensuring a positive, professional company image on the job site.

Preferred Qualifications

• Two years of lineman experience including working out of a bucket truck, climbing poles, and working from a ladder
• One year supervisory experience
• Ability to read and understand telephone and CATV prints
• Willing to travel (primarily in Southern WI) Monday-Friday (home weekends, if not nightly)
• Insurance-acceptable driver’s license- Class A CDL preferred/able to obtain
• Previous training in utility safety standards
• Able to work in an outside environment in variable weather conditions
