Copper Valley Telecom
CVT is seeking a Central Office Technician to maintain, expand, replace, and repair all central office facilities in order to provide service to customers in the Valdez district. If you have experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing circuits and central office switching systems (ADSL/VDSL/AE/T1/Ethernet/SONET/GPON), as well as experience with the installation and turn-up of vendor specific internet and voice networks, this position could be a great fit!
The ideal candidate would also have experience with IP (L2/L3) switching and routing, optical transport, FTTX, and IP/PBX and have over four years (8,000 hours) of CO plant experience.
This is a full time, hourly, non-exempt position with a starting wage of $51.52. This is an IBEW represented position (need not be a current member to apply) and requires satisfactory results of a background check and drug screen (excluding marijuana).
