Job Summary The Office of Information Technology is seeking a talented and motivated student to join our telecommunications team at Auburn University. As a telecommunications student, you will work closely with our experienced professionals to help maintain and improve the university’s telecommunications systems. This position provides a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of telecommunications while pursuing your studies.
Essential Functions Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the testing of the campus Blue Light phones
  • Assist in the efforts of identifying the campus network ports, room numbers across campus for the 911 project.
  • Document telecommunications processes and procedures
Minimum Qualifications Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled as an Auburn University undergraduate student.
  • Valid driver’s license

Expectations:

  • Strong technical skills and a desire to learn about telecommunications systems and technologies
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic knowledge of computer networking and operating systems
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite is preferred
  • Valid driver’s license
