IT Trainer

General Purpose of the Position

The IT Trainer will be responsible for co-managing the computer space and instructing students in the Konexio digital skills curriculum.

The IT Trainer must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, work well on a team, and demonstrate trustworthiness and provide training and certification.

Salary: 525 JOD

Contract Duration :6 Months / until December 2023

Main Responsibilities of the Position

1. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Instruct novice students in Konexio’s digital skills curriculum
• Assist students in the computer lab with technical issues
• Assist students with course exercises
• Respond to student questions pertaining to lesson points and exercises
• Be present at the computer lab to answer student and staff questions about IT
• Turn on the systems in the morning and shutdown the systems in the evening
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment
• Be present at the center during regularly scheduled work hours with occasional work over holidays
• Keep equipment and software running smoothly by implementing preventative measures to ensure equipment, software, and lab safety
• Contribute to the design of the exercises
• Communicate between the students and JRS/ Konexio (including feedback, follow-up, etc.)

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES

• Must have a university degree in IT, computer, IMS or any relevant degree.
• Must have proven and demonstrable work experience for 3 years in the IT field
• Excellent digital skills, including general computer operation, Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), image and audio editing software, and professional digital tools (such as email and online tools)
• Experience with database management, PC hardware, printers, and laptops
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Exceptional commitment to the service of students and the Konexio program
• Extremely trustworthy, responsible, and reliable
• Prior teaching experience strongly recommended
• Prior knowledge of online freelancing recommended
• Prior knowledge of basic business skills recommended
