Telecom Analyst in Chicago, Illinois

Currently hiring for a Sr. Telecom billing analyst with a top employer in the Chicagoland area. You will be a Sr. Analyst that will managing telecom invoices, create new billing processes, resolve discrepancies with carriers/ vendors, ensure the correct business units are associated with invoices, and track year-to-date telecom spend. Prior expertise working with carriers such as: AT&T, Comcast, Verizon, etc. is required as you will be focused on invoicing for multiple circuits/ services for several locations.

• Experience with ethernet/ telephony/ circuit billing

• Experience working in a billing/ purchasing system (INFOR would be a plus, will be manually submitting invoices in their system)

• 3) Experience with budgeting to track YTD spend on voice, internet & telephony services

You will be responsible for:

• Analyzing telecommunications (voice and data) services, spending and vendor management

• Acting as a liaison between carriers and billing partners, managing relationships including billing, service, SLA’s, pricing and disputes

• Providing Telecom Financial Reporting and Forecasting

• Work with Telecom Expense Management (TEM) on invoice processing including cost center allocations, billing information updates into Ariba, analysis of monthly invoices

• Billing reconciliation and contract terms/conditions.

• Collaborating with key business partners to obtain supporting information

• Provide monthly reporting for financial period end as it relates to accruals, reclassifications and cost center allocations. Research variances relating to budgetary spend for Telecom/WAN.

• Complete month-end accounting activities, maintain internal analysis and respond to questions from Accounting and IT Services

• Develop materials to document operational end-to-end process flows

• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple concurrent project tasks, work under pressure, and ensure high-quality deliverables and outcomes.

You will be successful with:

• Strong understanding of major Telecom Vendors provisioning and billing processes related to services POTS, T1, Ethernet, Broadband, VoIP, and Wireless services

• Previous experience in telecommunications billing, analysis, and provisioning highly desired.

• Background in accounting, general or specific to telecommunications, is a plus.

• Experience in telecommunication, circuit ordering, billing reconciliation and contract terms/conditions.

• Proficient in INFOR, or any other billing/ purchasing system, Excel

• Experience creating new processes and workflows for billing operations and mentoring team members.
