With over 180 resources, the Network Management team is primarily located in London, Bournemouth, New York, Tampa, Hong Kong, Singapore and Mumbai to provide coverage of markets and selected clients. While the group resides within the CIB, it supports all J.P. Morgan’s lines of business including Corporate & Investment Bank (Global Markets; Securities Services; Wholesale Payments), Asset & Wealth Management, Commercial Bank and Consumer & Community Banking

Network Management has a global presence in key locations to provide market coverage and is comprised of several teams including: Securities & Cash Network Management, Network Client Consulting (NCC), Network Performance management and Network Management Oversight.

The successful applicant will lead the Network Associates team which support Securities, Cash and Global FMI Network Managers. This role will require engagement with stakeholders in the Lines of Business, Operations, Compliance, Risk, Network Management and the network of agent banks and FMIs. They will work extensively with the regional leads for Network Management and be accountable for day-to-day execution and scaling of the team and be the point of escalation. The incumbent will have to forge strong relationships with the Network Managers and leads for the regions supported by the team.

Job Responsibilities

  • Leading a team accountable for supporting the regional Network Managers across various activities including:
  • Periodic reviews and updates of market information
  • Creating Newsflashes about market developments
  • Closure of agent bank oversight related actions
  • Any changes to the agent banks and FMIs used by the various lines of business and ensuring timely and accurate updates of related information
  • Manage any inquiries related to the population of agent banks
  • Coordinate signing of approved legal documents and fee schedules

Ensuring the above has been delivered as per agree timelines and quality. In line with the output, ensure training needs are identified.

  • Leading and ensuring delivery by team in ad-hoc projects for Network Management and the lines of business. Expectation Is for the incumbent to be hands on, understand the various Network Management tools & resources available, take a lead from the front
  • Manage the book of work and ensure there is constant dialogue with the regional leads on the same with a focus on contribution towards strategic objectives for Network Management
  • In line with the above, the incumbent is expected to understand the various functions within Network Management, how it all connects and be an advocate for the Network Managers & Associates; they should have constant dialogues with regional and global leads on scope of work and expansion of roles & responsibilities
  • Owning end-to-end urgent outreaches to agent banks & FMIs, including but not restricted to co-ordination with various stakeholders in the firm, agent banks, daily reporting on progress, ensuring completion within timeline and appropriate storage. Building network of contact internally within Network Management and the firm
  • Proactively leveraging data insights and thematic analysis to manage and improve scope of work for the team
  • Regular connects with the regional stakeholders, seeking feedback and ensuring training requirements are identified for individual team members as appropriate
  • Identification and reporting of KPIs/KRIs, production of various decks as required by senior management. High focus on Controls and Governance process & reporting. 

Required skills and qualifications

  • Strong experience in Third Party Oversight, risk, control, and regulatory management. Previous experience working with agent banks preferred
  • Previous Network Management experience a plus. Financial services background, with at least 12 years relevant experience in the industry is a plus
  • Familiarity with data visualisation / automation tools – Tableau, Xceptor, Alteryx. Build relationships across functions and geographies to expand influence and knowledge
  • Strong people management experience. Strong communication, interpersonal, and project management skills
  • Ability to “join the dots” and evidence good judgment under pressure. Keen eye for detail in order to prepare management information and other ad hoc reports 
  • Attention to detail combined with an ability to absorb information and form an opinion or conclusion
  • Ability to complete work to deadlines, with a sense of both urgency and accuracy thorough effective time management including goal setting, planning, prioritizing, scheduling, and monitoring
