Telecom & Transportation Specialist

The Telecom & Transport Specialist administers fleet, the vehicle reimbursement (FAVR program), and employee communication activities. This role assists with troubleshooting and processing of employee wireless communications, and maintains fleet, FAVR, and communications reporting to ensure the business has visibility to make informed decisions. 

Key Responsibilities

• Provide insights and recommendations for process improvement based on opportunities identified through analysis of employee fleet, FAVR and telecom usage and trends
• Apply subject matter knowledge regarding wireless telecommunications and fleet transportation operations based on reporting information
• Assist manager in maintain cost savings, cost avoidance and risk mitigation
• Interact with telecommunication suppliers and transportation vendors to ensure on-time delivery and operation of wireless telecommunication devices for employee use
• Deliver all key monthly reporting for fleet, FAVR, and employee telecommunications to manager and stakeholders as required
• Provide support as needed to address transportation and communication tickets submitted by users within ticketing queue within expected timeframe
• Develop and maintain dashboards for consumption by Field Operations
• Determine and maintain status of fleet vehicle assignments and locations with support from manager
• Provide recommendations for telecom and transportation optimization to drive cost savings, cost avoidance or risk mitigation
• Provide visibility to contract attainment requirements to manager
• Support telecom and transportation team members in additional tasks as needed
• Create internal communication and documentation for operations teams as needed such as TSBs or best practice documents
• Perform other duties, projects and responsibilities as assigned by manager, or to meet the ongoing needs of the organization

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred; a High School Diploma or GED plus 2 additional years of relevant work experience may be substituted in lieu a Bachelor’s Degree
• 2+ years of relevant experience in the telecommunications field and/or fleet industry /vehicle reimbursement 
• 2+ years’ experience supporting high-volume, nationwide user network
• 1+ experience managing data/data analytics

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Ability to interact in a positive manner with consultants, vendors, team members
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple duties and taks on a daily basis
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• Self-motivated with strong time management and project management
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows based applications, Remedy, SQL and Tableau preferred
• Solution oriented mentality to proactively communicate and identify opportunities
