What you’ll achieve

Telecom System Architects provide thought leadership, strategic guidance, broad industry knowledge and technology expertise supporting development of new business opportunities and sales pursuits in the Telecom Core and NexGen Ops domains. They are trusted advisors for the network teams at our telecom customers. They collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Sales, Alliances, Marketing and Transformation teams to drive customer requirements and map innovative technology solutions from Dell and its partners.

You will:
Develop mindshare and trusted client relationships through a deep understanding of key business issues within their network account base at selected Telecom Operators with Telecom Core and NexGen Ops offerings, that align with Dell Technology Solutions

Provide technical expertise for Core and NexGen Opsrelated network transformations by understanding currentstate of network architecture, technology as well as partners and develop alignment to futurestate architectures. Architect/Design customer specific Telecom Core and NexGen Ops solutions required for enterprise outcomes as well as take charge of technical responses to RFI/P/Q with support from Systems Technologists

Deliver compelling presentations, points of view, and workshops, with minimal guidance, highlighting the value proposition of our Telecom Core and NexGen Ops portfolio offerings in addressing network operator needs and generating business outcomes. Participate in and contribute to key vertical industry forums

Drive a complex sales engagement process with potential multiple pursuits managed over multiple months/years, orchestrating, and collaborating across internal resources and core sales teams. Includes pipeline tracking and reporting activities.

Identify, define, and lead multiyear Telecom Core and NexGen Ops pursuits with key stakeholders across networkfocused teams. Consolidate and communicate customer requirements to R&D/product teams including identification of capability gaps as well as ecosystem partners with innovative offerings

Essential Requirements

Understanding of endtoend Telcom Networks operations across Cloud, OSS/BSS, AI/ML, network core, transport, edge, and RAN. A deep understanding of Telecom Core and NexGen Ops solutions and markets including familiarity with Network Equipment Providers (NEPs) and key partner solutions

Robust knowledge of technologies, standards, and operational processes associated with 5G Core Architecture, virtualization, K8s/containers, BSS/OSS, AI/ML, Analytics, security, public, private and hybrid clouds, as well as hyperconverged solutions; along with the ability to map a solution’s value to an account’s business needs

Strong capabilities on the application of telecom infrastructure to address and articulate industry trends and act as a technical advisor during presales engagements, while validating the customer’s choice for Dell Technologies solutions

Strong leadership skills with an ability to orchestrate technical and sales resources to drive large customer projects in key accounts and establish deep relationships with key customer stakeholders to achieve trusted advisor status. This will include interpersonal, written, and verbal skills needed for influencing Dell Technologies stakeholders, customers, partners and vendors cross selling ideas and initiatives expanding Dell’s product and solution sales. Ability to work in matrixed, complex, fastmoving, and constantly changing environments within an extremely competitive global market

Deep understanding of leading core, OSS, and BSS solutions from vendors including Ericsson, Nokia, Amdocs, Netcracker, Oracle, Mavenir, and others

Desirable Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred | MBA

12 to 15+ years of relevant industry experience with at least 4 years of IT domain experience as an architect, systems technologist, or consultant with the ability to successfully demonstrate advanced technology, consulting, and architecture competence
