4/5G Network Architect

Performs design computations, compiles data, and completes elementary architectural assignments. Prepares project estimates and architectural plans as requested. Inspects structures in the field. Requires a bachelor’s degree in architecture and 8+ years of experience. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Can be Remote.
Additional Skills Required: * Bachelor´s degree or equivalent experience needed

• Good Knowledge of LTE/5G Networks and Call flows
• Solution design & Implementation of one or more core network elements (AMF/SMF/UPF/NRF/NSSF/UDM/AUSF/CHF/PCF)
• Strong knowledge of Cloud-Native architecture
• Hands-on experience in 5G core network elements
• Hands-on experience with SBA
• Hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure for telecom applications
• Hands-on experience DPI design, implementation
• Hands-on experience NAT design, implementation
• Hands-on experience network element KPI analysis
• Hands-on experience in Unix/Linux, yaml / json files
• Hands-on in yaml / json files
• Good troubleshooting skills
• Understanding of 5G radio and transport networks.
• Experience working with CNF/VNF orchestrators.
• Minimum 10+ years of related experience in the Telco Packet Core
• Strong interpersonal & communication skills
• Team player / Proactive

Preferred Qualifications: * Experience working for a Tier 1/2 vendor or Mobile Network Operator.

• Cloud certifications (CKA, CKS, CKAD)
• IP protocols knowledge (OSPF, BFD, etc.)
• IP certifications
• Telecom vendor certifications

Team Responsibilities (what do you do)
As a team, We are responsible for building the 5G architecture and design. The responsibilities includes the following.

• Scoping the business requirement to technical and functional requirements.
• Building the solution design into High level and Low Level solution.
• Setting up the testing objectives and validation criteria with vendors.
• Dimensioning exercise of the Infra elements and network functions as per the requirements..
• Operational framework and support when the network goes into production.

• 5g deployment is what they need help with
• Understand architectural concepts, able to work with vendors, question the vendor on decisions they don’t agree with
• Top must haves: Architectural experience, designing at least 4g or ideally 5g networks, design solutions within the network, should be familiar with User Plane
• Can be full remote

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $60.00 – $84.00 per hour
