Our Exciting Opportunity:
We are looking for a motivated and technically advanced Developer to work on the front-end of 5G development. The successful candidate will work as a member of the Network and System Verification team in Ottawa.
You will:
- Test upcoming Ericsson 5G products/features in the lab environment using channel emulator and real UE.
- Characterize feature performance gain by analyzing test logs collected from the network and the terminal
- Develop test plans, perform data analysis, review test results, write test reports
- Work closely with systems, software design and product line management to verify prototype solutions
- Develop and maintain automated test cases
- Support investigation and troubleshooting of customer issues
- Improve test effectiveness to meet ever evolving verification needs
To be successful in the role you must have:
- B.Sc. or M.Sc degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 5-year telecommunication industry experience or post-graduate degree in wireless communication (or related field)
- Good knowledge of wireless communication system.
- Passion to learn new technology through hands-on testing activities.
- Ability to develop and maintain scripts in Matlab, Java, Python and other programing languages
- Excellent problem solving, troubleshooting and computer skills
- Effective communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to work in a team, while being self-driven to work individually, as required
. Additional Requirements:
- Wireless communication system design and research experience is a strong asset
- Wireless communication software development experience in L1, L2 is a strong asset
